Melbourne · Tottenham VIC Est. MMIV

Stone, cut with conviction.

A Melbourne studio shaping marble, granite, limestone, engineered quartz and large-format porcelain into kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces and facades that age beautifully.

Pure Design Projects has spent two decades learning what each stone wants. Limestone needs a softer hand than granite. Calacatta rewards the patient. Porcelain slabs the size of a small wall demand a calm crew and a perfect shop floor.

We supply and install across Australia — commercial and domestic — from Tottenham, Melbourne. The signature is in the edges. Mitre returns flush enough to read as a single block. Bullnoses rolled by hand. Waterfall ends that line up vein to vein.

02 Practice

Six rooms.
One discipline.

  1. 01 — Kitchens

    Benchtops, islands & waterfall returns

Stone, engineered quartz and large-format porcelain. Mitred returns, custom edge profiles, splashbacks and integrated drainage. Veining book-matched wherever the slab allows.

  2. 02 — Bathrooms

    Vanities, walls & wet areas

Carrara, Calacatta, semi-precious marble and porcelain in master baths and ensuites. Sealed for daily life, finished to read as one continuous surface.

  3. 03 — Fireplaces

    Hearths, mantels & surrounds

Limestone, travertine and dimensional stone. Architectural surrounds and sculpted hearths designed to anchor a room, not decorate it.

  4. 04 — Floors & walls

    Slab, tile, foyer & stair

Slab and tile installation for floors, feature walls, entry foyers and stairways. Set straight, sealed properly, finished to last.

  5. 05 — Facades & outdoor

    Cladding, paving & outdoor kitchens

Exterior cladding, paving, outdoor kitchens and porcelain benchtops engineered for Australian weather, sun and salt.

  6. 06 — Bespoke

    Furniture, signage & one-offs

Custom furniture tops, stone signage and one-off architectural pieces. Drawn with you, prototyped in our shop, installed by the team that made it.

07 Inside the shop

From slab
to surface.

Twenty-eight steps live between a quarry block and a finished kitchen. Most of them happen in our Tottenham workshop. This is what a working week looks like — CNC, hand-finish, dry-fit.

08 Process

From sketch to install.

  1. i.

    Brief

Plans, references, mood. We meet on site or in the studio — whichever moves faster.

  2. ii.

    Material

Slab selection at the yard. We hand-pick veining, book-match where the slab allows, and confirm samples before fabrication.

  3. iii.

    Fabrication

CNC and hand-finished in our Tottenham workshop. Edges profiled, surfaces polished, every join dry-fit before it leaves the floor.

  4. iv.

    Install

Our crew installs — not a sub. Site protected, joints dressed, surfaces sealed and walked through with the trades.
