Twenty years of stone.
Pure Design Projects was founded in 2004 by Ivan, in a small Tottenham workshop with one bench and a borrowed saw. Two decades later, the studio is twenty-eight strong — masons, fabricators, polishers, draftspeople and installers — all working from the same 1,200 m² shop floor where it began. The bench is still there. So is Ivan.
What we make.
We work across kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, facades and bespoke furniture — anything that can be drawn, templated and cut from a single block. Each commission is fabricated in Tottenham, then delivered and installed by the same crew that built it. Most projects ship within metropolitan Melbourne; some go interstate, crated, with one of our installers riding alongside.
Why people come back.
We vein-match slabs by hand, walk the quarry where it matters, and run our own install crew — no subcontractors, no third-party fitters. When a hearth chips in 2031 we'll come back and dress it; when a bench needs re-honing after a decade of use, we'll re-hone it. That is, broadly, the answer.
